We're a small family-run business built on love, caffeine, second chances, and the belief that every dog, especially the seniors and rescues, deserve the absolute best. Yes, we make adorable and sassy dog bandanas for all occasions (Pride? Summer? Your dog’s birthday? We got you). But behind the scenes, it’s all heart.
So, Who Are We Really?
I’m Susie—a dog mom, rescue advocate, every dog’s treat dealer—and along with my husband Troy, we started Cogs Dogs out of a deep love for the dogs who need us most. Our business is named after our last name (Cogswell), but everything we do is for the dogs who’ve changed our lives: from our first senior pup Champ, to our current lovable Meatball, and to all the foster dogs who’ve left paw prints on our hearts (shoutout to Petunia!).
But it really started with three very special senior dogs: Champ, Diesel, and Bosley. These were our first senior dogs we adopted, and they completely changed how we see life, love, and the magic of giving an old dog a second chance.
Champ taught us that love doesn’t know time. Even in the short 2.5 months we had we him, the amount of love we shared felt like a lifetime. Diesel made us laugh every day with his silly dinner dance and taught us how to unconditionally love and care for a senior and terminally ill dog. And Bosley opened our hearts to a kind of love that we didn’t know existed. Her being my soul dog opened my heart to a whole new world of unconditional love and happiness. These three senior pups are the very first reasons why Cogs Dogs exists. They opened our eyes and hearts wide open in ways we never expected.
We saw how overlooked senior dogs are. How many never get that second chance simply because of their age. We knew we had to do something more than just adopt, we had to create something that could help on a bigger scale. So, we started Cogs Dogs. A brand with a mission.
What We Do (Besides Spoil Dogs Rotten)
We create dog bandanas, apparel for the humans who love them, and so much more. Everything we design is soft, comfy, and made to last—because let’s be real, your pup deserves to look good and feel good while chasing squirrels or napping dramatically on the couch.
